Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Suspension Strut Mount Assembly R&R

Remove the strut upper mounting nuts,

Raise and support the vehicle. |
3. |
Remove the tire and wheel. |
4. |
Disconnect the stabilizer shaft link
from the strut assembly, Fig. 2. |
5. |
Remove the strut lower bolts, nuts
and anti-lock brake system (ABS) wiring bracket, if equipped,

Reverse procedure to install, noting
the following: |

a. |
Torque strut upper mounting
nuts to 15 ft. lbs. |
|
b. |
Torque strut lower mounting
nuts to 89 ft. lbs. |
|
c. |
Torque stabilizer shaft link
nut to 48 ft. lbs. |
