Keyless Entry Transmitter Or DIC Method

1. On models with standard ignition switch, place ignition switch in ON position.
2. On models with keyless ignition switch, place ignition switch in ACCY position.
3. On all models, using keyless entry transmitters, press lock and unlock buttons at same time until a double horn chirp sounds, indicating "learn mode" has been actuated. Lefthand front turn signal will also be illuminated.
4. On DIC (Driver Information Center) press and release Info button until "Tire Learn" message is indicated on DIC display. Press and hold Set/Reset button until two horn chips are sounded, indicating "Learn Mode" has been actuated. lefthand front turn signal will also be illuminated.
5. If GM tool No. EL-46079/J-46079, or equivalent, is available, proceed as follows:
  a. Starting with lefthand front tire, hold antenna of tool near valve stem on wheel, then press and release activate button and wait for horn to chirp.
  b. When horn chirp has sounded, sensor information is learned, then turn signal at next location to be learned will illuminate.
  c. Repeat procedure on righthand front, right rear and lefthand rear tires.
6. If GM tool No. EL-46079/J-46079, or equivalent, is not available, proceed as follows:
  a. Starting with lefthand front tire, increase/decrease tire pressure for 8 to 10 seconds and wait for horn to chirp. It could take up to 30 seconds for horn to chirp.
  b. When horn chirp has sounded, sensor information is learned, then turn signal at next location to be learned will illuminate.
  c. Repeat procedure on righthand front, righthand rear and lefthand rear tires.
7. After procedure has been completed on lefthand rear tire, horn will sound a double chirp, indicating all sensors have been learned.
8. Place ignition switch in OFF position to exit "learn mode."
9. Adjust all tires to recommended inflation pressure.
10. System will complete calibration process as vehicle is driven.

Scan Tool Method

1. Connect scan tool, initiate TPMS "Learn Mode." A double horn chirp will sound, indicating that "Learn Mode" has been enabled. Lefthand front turn signal will also illuminate.
2. Connect GM tool No. EL-46079/J-46079, or equivalent, proceed as follows:
  a. Starting with lefthand front tire, hold antenna of tool near valve stem on wheel, then press and release activate button and wait for horn to chirp.
  b. When horn chirp has sounded, sensor information is learned, then turn signal at next location to be learned will illuminate.
  c. Repeat procedure on righthand front, righthand rear and lefthand rear tires.
3. After procedure has been completed on lefthand rear tire, horn will sound a double chirp, indicating all sensors have been learned.
4. Place ignition switch in OFF position to exit "learn mode."
5. Adjust all tires to recommended inflation pressure.
