1. Raise and support vehicle using suitable lift.
2. Remove tire and wheel assemblies.
3. Remove nut from outer tie rod ball stud, loosen jam nut.
4. Remove outer tie rod ball stud from steering knuckle using suitable tool.
5. Remove tie rod end from shaft, then inspect inner tie rod shaft for bending or damaged threads.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
  a. Torque wheel lug nuts to 100 ft. lbs.
  b. Torque tie rod end to steering knuckle nut to 44 ft. lbs.
