Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Door Trim Panel
Front
1. |
Disengage front door upper trim panel
retaining clips, then remove trim panel, Fig. 1. |
2. |
Remove front door armrest retaining
screws, then disconnect electrical connector and remove armrest. |
3. |
On models less power windows,
using a suitable tool, disengage door window handle retaining clip,
then remove window handle and grommet. |
4. |
On all models, remove inside
door handle cover. |
5. |
Remove inside door handle retaining
screw. |
6. |
Disengage cable from inside door handle. |
7. |
Remove two push pins retaining door
trim panel to door. |
8. |
Disengage door trim panel retainers,
then remove door trim panel. |
9. |
Reverse procedure to install, noting
following: |

a. |
Torque door trim panel screw
to 19 inch lbs. |
|
b. |
Torque door armrest bracket
screw to 80 inch lbs. |

Rear
1. |
Remove rear door armrest retaining
screws, then disconnect electrical connector and remove armrest. |
2. |
On models less power windows,
using a suitable tool, disengage door window handle retaining clip,
then remove window handle and grommet. |
3. |
On all models, remove inside
door handle cover. |
4. |
Remove inside door handle retaining
screw. |
5. |
Disengage cable from inside door handle. |
6. |
Remove two push pins retaining door
trim panel to door. |
7. |
Disengage door trim panel retainers,
then remove door trim panel. |
8. |
Reverse procedure to install, torque
door armrest bracket screw to 80 inch lbs. |
