Do not sand or grind brake linings
unless suitable local exhaust ventilation equipment is used to prevent
excessive asbestos exposure. |

Wear suitable respirator approved for
asbestos dust use during repair procedures. |

When cleaning brake dust from brake
components, use vacuum cleaner with highly efficient filter system.
If suitable vacuum cleaner is not available, use water soaked rag.
Do not use compressed air or dry brush to clean brake components. |

Properly dispose of rags and vacuum
cleaner bags by placing them in plastic bags. |

Do not smoke or eat while working on
brake systems. Never use gasoline, kerosene, alcohol, motor oil,
transmission fluid, or any fluid containing mineral oil to clean
brake system components. |

If system contamination is suspected,
inspect brake fluid in reservoir for dirt, discoloration, or separation
(breakdown). Drain fluid into suitable container and flush hydraulic
system with clean brake fluid. |
