Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Blower Motor, Replace

1. Disconnect blower motor electrical connector.
2. Remove lower blower motor cover heat stakes, Fig. 1, using small suitable chisel.
3. Remove lower blower motor cover.
4. Remove blower motor nuts. Fig. 2.
5. Remove blower motor cup from lower case by cutting through case between circular ribs, Fig. 3, around motor with a sharp utility knife.
6. Release blower motor retaining tab, then remove blower motor from cup.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque blower motor nuts to 21 inch lbs.
