Remove the intake manifold cover. |
2. |
Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. |
3. |
Disconnect the intake (3) and exhaust
(2) camshaft position actuator solenoid valve electrical connectors,

Remove the ignition coils. |
5. |
Remove the engine harness clips (1,
2) from the cover, Fig. 2. |
6. |
Remove the fuel feed line retainers
(1, 2) from the engine brackets, Fig. 3. |
7. |
Remove the camshaft cover bolts,

8. |
Remove the camshaft cover. |
9. |
Reverse procedure to install, noting
the following: |

a. |
Torque camshaft cover bolts
to 89 inch lbs. |
|
b. |
Torque ignition coil bolts to
89 inch lbs. |
|
c. |
Torque air cleaner and throttle
body clamps to 44 inch lbs. |
